Nicola White

Nicola White joined the Office of the Auditor-General in December 2006. As head of the legal team, she provides legal advice and support across all aspects of the work of the Office of the Auditor-General and Audit New Zealand. She has particular responsibility for managing the conduct of inquiries carried out by the Auditor-General.
Before coming to the Office, Nicola was a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Policy Studies in the School of Government at Victoria University, where she taught and researched on a wide range of public law and public administration topics. She has also worked as a legal and policy adviser in a range of roles in government over the last 15 years, including in the Cabinet Office and the Policy Advisory Group of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.
