Ann Webster
Assistant Auditor-General, Research and Development
Ann is responsible for:
- leading the Office of the Auditor-General’s response to changes in public sector governance and accountability; and
- facilitating and co-ordinating the Office of the Auditor-General’s research and development and product development.
Ann joined the Office of the Auditor-General in December 1999 as a sector manager in the Local Government team. She was the project manager for the development and implementation of the Office of the Auditor-General’s audits of local authorities’ 2006 long-term council community plans.
Before joining the Office of the Auditor-General, Ann worked in the local government sector covering Local Government Policy with the Department of Internal Affairs and for the Dunedin City Council. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Diploma of Social Science Research from Victoria University of Wellington. Ann's experience is mainly in corporate planning, research, and public policy.
