Our structure
About us
Within the Office of the Auditor-General there are six different teams. Each team is led by an Assistant Auditor-General. The teams are:
- Accounting and Auditing Policy
- Legal Group
- Local Government
- Parliamentary Group
- Performance Audit Group, and
- Research and Development.
One Corporate Services Team, also led by an Assistant Auditor-General, supports both the Office of the Auditor-General and Audit New Zealand.
Our Leadership Team
Our Leadership Team includes:
- the Auditor-General
- the Deputy Auditor-General, and
- each of the Assistant Auditors-General.
The OAG Leadership Team meets every month. It considers all OAG business matters. The Executive Director of Audit New Zealand attends to ensure that information flows easily and regularly between the OAG and Audit New Zealand.
The Assistant Auditors-General of the Research and Development, Local Government, Parliamentary, and Performance Audit teams are managed by the Deputy Auditor-General. The Assistant Auditors-General of the Accounting and Auditing Policy, Legal, and Corporate Services teams are managed by the Auditor-General. The Executive Director of Audit New Zealand also reports to the Auditor-General.
