What do we do?
The Legal Group provides legal advice and representation for the Office of the Auditor-General and Audit New Zealand. The Legal Group's responsibilities include:
- advising on legal issues that arise in the course of audits, inquiries and reports
- managing inquiries
- carrying out the Auditor-General's functions under the Local Authorities (Members' Interests) Act
- dealing with all other enquiries about conflicts of interest.
Group structure
The Assistant Auditor-General of the Legal Group is Nicola White.
The other members of the Group are:
- Jonathan Keate (Senior Solicitor; Sector Manager, Local Government)
- Edrick Child (Senior Solicitor)
- Sarah McMaster (Solicitor, Inquiries Manager)
- Kathrine Rice (Personal Assistant).
