Henry Broughton. Henry is responsible for the Justice, and Māori affairs sectors. He joined the Office of the Auditor-General in February 2009 initially on secondment from the UK National Audit Office. Before taking up the role of Sector Manager, Henry was a Senior Performance Auditor in our Performance Audit Group. He has led performance audits on a wide range of topics including the Government's role in the recovery from the Canterbury earthquakes, Governance in New Zealand's arts, culture and heritage sector, ICT enabled business change projects, and Government support to Māori housing programmes. Henry has provided capacity building support to public audit offices internationally, including in Russia, Turkey, Bosnia, and Latvia. Recently, he has been working with the Samoa Audit Office on a long-term Twinning project.

Henry has an Executive Masters’ degree in Public Administration from the Australia and New Zealand School of Government.
