Asking dumb questions is a really great way to find out whether your business can improve.

I tend to focus on the operations. Obviously, the outcomes for my staff and the clients that we serve are the measures that we use the most. But sometimes we don’t step back and look at the issues and the problems and the way we do things from a different perspective.

Asking dumb questions is a really great way to find out whether your business can improve. Auditors tend not just to ask dumb questions - they ask questions with knowledge from other organisations.

One of the best things I find is that from working with the audit team we are getting the expertise from a vast array of different organisations, different sectors, that I can apply to my business.
