Robert Joseph Collins

1910-1922 Controller and Auditor-General. The fourth Auditor-General served as Controller and Auditor-General from 1910 to 1922.

Robert Collins started on the very bottom rung of the New Zealand public service, beginning his career as a sub-store keeper for the Public Works department.

He was crowned champion shooter of Taranaki twice, and was the Chief Executive Officer of the New Zealand Rifle Association for many years.
